HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THIS WITH STAGE 1?
MORE RESTRICTIONS REMOVED. The OEM throttle model has “soft” and “hard” limits. The soft limits are where the 2020 S1000RR (K67) will start to close the throttle and limit torque by itself at high speed or high RPM. We removed the top speed governor and made sure the throttle or torque isn’t limited.
MODIFIED FUELING FOR FULL TIME CLOSED LOOP AND WILL TARGET FOR PERFORMANCE (not just rideability like in our original flash). Our original flash focused on smooth and consistent rideability only. It does not take peak performance into consideration. That may sound silly given how much of an improvement the original flash gave the 2020 S1000RR, but on Stage 1 we decided to focus purely on performance while still taking rideability into account. MANY hours, days, months have gone into developing the Stage 1 flash to make sure the bike is not only fast, but also reliable, smooth and consistent. For safety we adjust the OEM wideband sensors to read +/- 35% at all times.
MODIFIED IGNITION FOR PERFORMANCE ON VARIOUS OCTANES. The original flash did not touch any of the stock ignition tables. Stage 1 optimizes the ignition tables for performance and reliability. The S1000RR has multiple timing tables. Depending on fuel quality, the bike will choose more aggressive timing tables or less aggressive (if knock is present).
HIGH OCTANE MAPPING. One flash does it all. Because of the adaptive ECU and OEM wideband sensors, the S1000RR is able to switch between octanes without flashing to a new map. This means if you want to run regular 91 pump gas then switch to a higher octane, you do not have to change maps. The adaptive ECU and our Stage 1 flash will account for the new fuel and change automatically to optimize performance. The only thing the user has to do is pump the gas in the bike and ride.
MODIFIED QUICK SHIFTER TIMES FOR UP/DOWN SHIFTING “KILL” TIMES. Faster and smoother shifting for the OEM quick shifter. We made what was already good, even better.
SPORT MODE LIMITERS ADJUSTED. Sport mode has been adjusted to offer full power with changed traction control settings for smoother riding.
SERVICE BULLETIN UPDATED SAFETY MAPS ADDED. Early S1000RR’s had incorrect ignition timing from the factory. This was only at high RPM but it could result in knock (preignition of fuel in the combustion chamber). As a result BMW issued a service bulletin and software update to rectify this issue. We made sure to include this in our mapping while still maintaining a high level of performance and reliability.
DYNO PROVEN
Green = Stage 1 with Higher Octane Fuel
Blue = Stage 1 with Pump Gas
Red = Baseline with Pump Gas
Keep in mind the baseline includes factory BMW Akrapovic Exhaust, a Sprint high-flow air filter, IAT relocation, and modified airbox flappers. Without these modifications the baseline would be lower. The only thing we changed from run to run was flashing the S1000RR and adding race fuel for the final run. We are seeing more than a 5% gain in power just from the flash on a 2020 S1000RR that is already bolt-on.
**All runs performed same day, back to back on our in-house DynoJet**
**Testing performed with 93 octane pump gas. Usage of a lower octane will yield smaller power gains.**
WHY UPGRADE FROM OUR //M+ FLASH TO STAGE 1?

REAL WORLD RESULTS
“MaxWrist” decided to try our flash and from the video you can tell he’s very happy with shaving almost a full second off his 60-130mph times (Dragy verified).
THE BT MOTO HANDHELD TUNER
WHAT IS A HANDHELD TUNER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING ONE?
Thoroughly tested by our own engineers, not just for its function but also durability. We purposefully dropped this thing about 100 times just to make sure if you accidentally dropped it, it would still be a usable device.
So why buy it when you can just send in your ECU for flashing and spend less? Let’s see the breakdown.
NO DOWNTIME – No need to send in your ECU or remove it from your bike at all. You order the handheld, it get’s delivered to you, you flash your bike. You never miss a day of riding and no effort removing the ECU.
STORE MULTIPLE MAPS – When you send in your ECU, you only get one map. You might be thinking, “why would I need more than one map?”. Storing multiple maps means you’re able to flash for different fuels. If you’re a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks. If, for example, you’re add an exhaust to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your bike’s new modifications.
GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME – Not only can you store multiple race maps, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason.
